An Unexpected Exchange of Skills
Keeping up with household chores has become a bit of a challenge for me lately, so I decided to reach out to a family I know. I asked if their pre-teen daughter might be interested in helping me with some light housekeeping tasks on a regular basis. My plan was to pay her, but when she and her mom arrived for the first meeting, her mom casually mentioned that her daughter was interested in learning to crochet and would happily work in exchange for lessons. I couldn’t have been more thrilled! Passing on this creative skill to the next generation was something I’d always hoped to do, and now I have a wonderful opportunity to share it.
